Woodland Landscape

This is my watercolor painting. I am sharing this with you because i am proud of the artistic abilities within my painting. This painting is an inspiration of a landscape photo I looked for online. This painting is meant to show depth and the differences between foreground, background, and middle ground.  This painting is meant to represent my artistic abilities and the different methods of a watercolor painting I used to display this masterpiece. I used a lot of different methods. One being dry on dry. This method was essential in getting the proper texture of leaves that I wanted. I used a lot of wet on wet for the path because I needed a saturated version of an intense brown color I used. I would just spend more time on the background more because with the time constraint I didn’t have much time to focus on some aspects of the picture. I meant to show what I could do with watercolors. I think the texture you can see in my painting and the distinguishing different grounds in the painting has supported that I can effectively paint with watercolors. My goal in the future is to show that I can pay attention to detail very nicely.
